Infrastructure Design Manager (Nuclear Energy)

What you will do

• Lead infrastructure planning and design for new facilities, expansions, renovations, site development, feasibility studies, site selection, and master planning.
• Translate manufacturing, operational, and facility requirements into design criteria, basis-of-design documents, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, utilities, process infrastructure, electrical distribution, HVAC, cooling, gases, fire protection, controls, telecom, and critical systems.
• Manage architects, engineers, specialty consultants, design reviews, constructability reviews, value engineering, technical decisions, RFIs, and design changes.
• Partner with construction, procurement, facilities, operations, manufacturing, EHS, and finance through procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
• Establish repeatable infrastructure, equipment, and design standards for deployment across multiple sites and present technical options and recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure design, engineering, construction, facilities, or capital projects.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams and external engineering consultants.
• Experience delivering complex commercial, industrial, manufacturing, data center, laboratory, or other technically demanding facilities from concept through construction and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of multidisciplinary building and infrastructure systems, design management, constructability, estimating, scheduling, and project delivery.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.

Nice to have

• PE, RA, PMP, or equivalent professional credential.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, quantum computing, data center, aerospace, defense, or other high-technology facilities.
• Experience with high-reliability or mission-critical infrastructure, corporate standards, BIM/VDC, digital design coordination, commissioning, or operational readiness.
• Experience working in an owner/operator organization and managing design firms across multiple locations.
