Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Salary: $130,000–$170,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Build, refine, maintain, and deploy statistical and machine learning models at scale, including NLP and explainable AI approaches.
• Develop and tune LLM systems with rigorous performance evaluation and attention to user trust.
• Design experiments and analytics to measure the impact of AI in healthcare settings.
• Clean and transform data and build production pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, data platform engineers, and product experts to turn insights into deployed products.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• 3+ years of industry experience developing, launching, and maintaining production ML systems at scale.
• 1+ year of experience developing and tuning LLM systems.
• Hands-on experience with data manipulation, data cleaning, and pipeline development using Python and SQL.
• Strong software development foundations and commitment to high code quality and stable architecture.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills with technical and non-technical partners.

Nice to have

• Healthcare data or hospital operations experience.
• Experience with Databricks, AWS, DBT, or similar platforms.
• Master’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
