Power BI/SQL Developer (Healthcare)

Location: Hanover, Maryland, United States; hybrid with onsite work one day per week

What you will do

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, semantic models, KPIs, and data visualizations.
• Translate business and reporting requirements into user-friendly business intelligence solutions for clinical, operational, and management stakeholders.
• Write and optimize SQL, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, analysis, validation, and reporting.
• Extract, cleanse, transform, integrate, and validate healthcare and operational data from multiple sources and enterprise data warehouses.
• Modernize legacy reports, troubleshoot Power BI and SSRS solutions, and support recurring, contract, and ad hoc reporting deliverables.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams while maintaining data quality, integrity, definitions, and reporting dependencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, information systems, healthcare informatics, data analytics, economics, finance, or a related data-centric field.
• 3–4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related data-focused role.
• Hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, data relationships, measures, and reporting logic.
• Strong SQL experience, including Oracle SQL and/or PL/SQL, relational databases, and enterprise data warehouse environments.
• Experience integrating and validating data from multiple sources and translating business requirements into actionable reporting and visualizations.
• Ability to communicate proactively, collaborate across teams, solve problems, and manage time-sensitive reporting deliverables.

Nice to have

• Experience with DAX, Power Query, SSRS, SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence, or legacy report modernization.
• Experience with healthcare data such as medical and pharmacy claims, eligibility, authorization, EHR, clinical, pharmacy, behavioral health, population health, or HEDIS data.
• Experience with Python, R, Alteryx, or similar data analysis and transformation tools.
• Experience using GitHub or other version control systems.
