Analog and Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer (CMOS)

Location: Fort Collins, Colorado, USA; onsite at 4380 Ziegler Road

Annual base salary: USD 109,700–175,500

What you will do

• Design analog blocks, systems, and subsystems using behavioral modeling and transistor-level circuit design tools.
• Develop critical IP such as opamps, comparators, bandgaps, ADCs, DACs, current and temperature sensors, LDOs, rectifiers, power converters, and battery chargers.
• Optimize circuit architectures and transistor-level solutions for power, area, performance, and cost.
• Design or oversee custom physical layout, chip interfaces, package routing, and PC test board schematics.
• Characterize IC performance in the lab, debug analog circuit issues, and support post-silicon evaluation.
• Collaborate with analog, digital, package, layout, and automatic test engineers; document circuit operation and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of related experience, Master's degree with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years.
• Proficiency in analog design and in-depth knowledge of CMOS devices, analog layout, and high-voltage layout techniques.
• Experience with transistor-level design, circuit simulation, layout design, verification, and extraction.
• Working knowledge of Cadence design tools, including Cadence Analog Artist and Cadence Virtuoso.
• Experience with experimental verification and ATE support.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of switched-mode power supplies, high-voltage BCD technologies, and high-voltage or power circuitry.
• Bench testing experience for post-silicon evaluation.
• Experience leading small design teams and defining IC architecture, verification, and documentation.
