Senior Product Manager, Financial Systems (AI/ML)

Location: Plymouth, Michigan, United States; onsite role

Salary: $111,000–$138,700 per year for Michigan-based applicants; annual performance bonus and equity awards may also be available.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of custom software solutions for Finance and Accounting.
• Research finance workflows, identify manual processes and data silos, and define opportunities for automation and accuracy improvements.
• Set product vision, strategy, roadmap, specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage the full product lifecycle from discovery through development, testing, and launch.
• Oversee integrations with ERP systems such as SAP, financial data platforms, and third-party tools.
• Use analytics and performance metrics to optimize processes and evaluate AI/ML opportunities for automation, forecasting, anomaly detection, and decision-making.

Requirements

• 4–7+ years of product management experience building and scaling internal tools or operational systems.
• Ability to work independently, develop strategies, lead projects, and influence diverse stakeholders without formal authority.
• Experience with Finance, Accounting, or business operations teams as internal customers is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite and financial data workflows.
• Knowledge of user-centered design, Agile/Scrum, APIs, data pipelines, enterprise integrations, analytics, KPIs, and success measurement.
• Strong communication, leadership, accountability, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
• Experience applying AI/ML to finance process automation, forecasting, anomaly detection, or decision support.
