Senior Technical Product Manager - Investor Solutions (Alternative Data)

Location: New York, NY; hybrid work with partial work from home. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Base salary: $145,000–$195,000 annually in the New York City area, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Own investor-facing data products end to end, from raw assets and pipelines through dataset design, delivery, and client value.
• Define the product strategy and roadmap for alternative data products, signals, and metrics.
• Set data quality requirements covering coverage, accuracy, and freshness.
• Design schemas and delivery specifications for datasets, datafeeds, S3, Snowflake, APIs, and MCP tools.
• Validate hypotheses hands-on with Python and SQL against raw, large-scale, and financial datasets.
• Collaborate with funds, quant researchers, analysts, data scientists, data engineers, GTM, and executives to prioritize and deliver products.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product or data product roles where the product was data.
• Experience working at or selling to hedge funds or asset managers, with an understanding of how alternative data is evaluated and used in investment processes.
• Proven ownership of product discovery, definition, delivery, and iteration with cross-functional teams.
• Recent experience shipping datasets, datafeeds, or APIs involving diverse data entities and dependencies.
• Strong data analysis and dataset-building skills, including schema definition and data pipelines.
• Hands-on Python experience and the ability to work with large and financial datasets; strong communication and stakeholder-alignment skills.

Nice to have

• Alternative data experience on the vendor side, buy-side data team, or in data sourcing.
• Familiarity with backtesting workflows, factor research, or earnings-preview research.
• Experience building and analyzing data with AI tools and agents.
• API, MCP, or AI-era product experience.
