Location: Charleston, South Carolina, United States; onsite in a production laboratory

What you will do

  • Plan, coordinate, and direct daily staffing, sample priorities, workloads, and production activities.
  • Oversee radiochemical separations, tracer yields, source preparation, counting, data review, and analytical quality.
  • Maintain instrument calibration, performance checks, standards, and quality control records.
  • Track throughput and turnaround times, resolve technical or workflow issues, and control overtime and consumable costs.
  • Train and qualify analysts, provide performance feedback, and conduct annual evaluations with career development goals.
  • Coordinate client requirements and technical capacity with Project Management, Quality, auditors, and other internal groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline, preferably Chemistry or Biology.
  • At least five years of analytical laboratory experience; radiochemistry experience is preferred.
  • Ability to learn, follow, teach, and develop laboratory procedures and methods.
  • Advanced mathematics and computer skills, including Microsoft 365 and LIMS.
  • Strong analytical judgment, data review, organization, leadership, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely with chemicals and potentially hazardous or radioactive materials, including required safety equipment.

  • Supervisory experience.
  • Radiochemistry laboratory experience.
