TL;DR
Senior Global Medical Affairs Leader (Bladder Cancer) (Medical Affairs/Oncology): Leading global medical affairs strategies, compound development plans, life-cycle management, clinical trial planning, and pre- and post-launch activities for bladder cancer products with an accent on cross-regional alignment, clinical evidence, and patient advocacy. Focus on integrating medical affairs perspectives across phase IIa–IV development, coordinating global publications and advisory activities, and managing complex relationships with medical experts and stakeholders.

Location: Raritan, New Jersey, United States of America

Base pay: $196,000–$342,700 per year

What you will do

  • Lead global medical affairs strategies and plans for bladder cancer compounds and products.
  • Partner with Compound Development Teams, commercial strategy teams, and regional medical affairs leaders to create integrated development and life-cycle management plans.
  • Provide the Medical Affairs perspective for compound development, life-cycle management strategies, and clinical trial design from phase IIa through phase IV.
  • Lead global advisory boards, medical symposia, congress activities, publication planning, and scientific communications.
  • Develop patient advocacy strategies and strategic relationships with patient groups, physician organizations, academic institutions, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage medical trial review processes, benefit-risk assessments, pre-approval access strategy, and related medical impact assessments.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific or medical degree such as MD, PhD, PharmD, MPH, or another master's-level degree.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in a medical, clinical, scientific, or pharmaceutical industry environment.
  • At least five years of Medical Affairs experience is highly preferred.
  • Bladder cancer experience and an established network of medical experts or opinion leaders in the disease area are highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, matrixed, cross-functional teams and managing strategic relationships with medical experts or opinion leaders.
  • At least 30% international travel is required.

Nice to have

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Experience in patient advocacy and engagement.
  • Knowledge of clinical methodology, clinical data review and analysis, study execution, benefit-risk management, and life-cycle management.
