Clinical Leader Nursing

Location: Tufts Medical Center - Corporate Location; on-site clinical work with direct patient care, unit operations, and physical patient-handling responsibilities.

Pay range: $47.30–$78.04 per hour based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily clinical and administrative operations for a designated unit, program, or service.
• Coordinate patient care, interdisciplinary rounds, care conferences, discharge planning, and patient and family education.
• Supervise, evaluate, coach, and mentor nursing and support personnel while promoting clinical expertise and competency-based practice.
• Develop and implement evidence-based practice and process-improvement initiatives.
• Allocate resources, coordinate services, and contribute to operating and capital budget planning.
• Lead or participate in hospital committees, multidisciplinary teams, shared governance, research, and special projects.

Requirements

• At least three years of clinical nursing practice with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to provide and oversee nursing care in accordance with professional standards, regulations, and hospital policies.
• Clinical reasoning, critical thinking, communication, organization, and the ability to work effectively in stressful and changing environments.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Physical ability to stand and walk extensively, transfer patients, respond to emergencies, and work around blood-borne disease risks.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Specialty nursing certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), particularly for ICU, ED, PACU, and cardiac intervention units.
• Additional department-relevant certifications such as PALS.
