What you will do

• Produce, report, shoot, write, voice, and edit news content for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Research events and public records, arrange interviews, and verify facts for complete and accurate reporting.
• Develop and pitch relevant local stories, enterprise reporting ideas, and exclusive community content.
• Determine story emphasis, format, length, and editorial priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Write stories for websites and social media and interact with viewers and users online.
• Ensure all content meets journalistic integrity and production-quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Fluent English and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ad-lib when required.
• At least two years of news-reporting experience, depending on market size.
• Strong on-air presence and proficiency in news photography, editing, research, and computer-based office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and flexibility to work any shift.
