Sr. Cost Accountant - Global

Location: West Los Angeles, California, USA. Hybrid schedule with in-office work required Monday through Wednesday and remote work available Thursday and Friday.

Pay range: $95,000–$120,000 per year, with a possible discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Manage global selling-entity standard costs, including freight, tariffs, drayage, intercompany markups, and related reconciliations.
• Reconcile finished goods, in-transit, and third-party warehouse inventory to the general ledger and investigate costing variances.
• Lead the Oracle OPM inventory close and prepare journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and inventory revaluations.
• Support consolidated inventory reporting, FCCS intercompany eliminations, COGS analysis, and margin reporting.
• Partner with FP&A, logistics, procurement, inventory control, quality, and commercial finance teams.
• Improve reporting, reconciliations, control documentation, ERP data integrity, and repeatable Excel analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive cost-accounting experience, preferably in an inventory-intensive, distribution, logistics, or multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory valuation, landed cost, freight accruals, cycle counts, quality costs, COGS, gross margin, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
• Experience with an ERP such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or a comparable platform; Oracle OPM experience is relevant to the close process.
• Advanced Excel skills for organizing large datasets, reconciliations, repeatable analyses, and accuracy checks.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• CPA or CMA designation.
• Experience with ERP implementations, cost-module enhancements, reporting automation, finance transformation, or cost-accounting control improvements.
• Experience in a multinational organization with intercompany inventory flows, inventory in transit, and transfer pricing concepts.
