Director, Community Relations (Data Centers)

Location: Dallas, Texas; willingness to be based in Dallas, TX required. Travel to project sites across the portfolio is required.

What you will do

• Design and execute public engagement plans for prospective and active data center developments, including community meetings, open houses, and stakeholder briefings.
• Build and manage relationships with local nonprofits, community leaders, civic groups, elected officials, and economic development organizations.
• Support community benefit agreements and local partnership commitments with Development, Legal, Government Affairs, and Communications teams.
• Serve as a point of contact for residents, community organizations, and business groups, providing project updates and answering questions.
• Monitor local sentiment and emerging issues, developing plans to address concerns with transparency and collaboration.
• Manage community investment and CSR programs, including philanthropic partnerships, sponsorships, and sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in community relations, public affairs, stakeholder engagement, or community investment program management.
• Experience supporting real estate, energy, infrastructure, or large-scale industrial development; data center, energy, or utility-scale infrastructure experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating community-facing issues with Government Affairs, Legal, Development, and Communications teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust with communities during complex or contested development projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing for public meetings and community-focused events.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

• Experience in public and private sector environments.
• Advanced degree in public policy, communications, or a related field.
• Experience partnering with nonprofit organizations, foundations, or community-based organizations.
