Director, Public Affairs, U.S. Neuroscience (Healthcare Policy): Developing strategic public affairs initiatives for the U.S. Neuroscience portfolio with an accent on patient access, reimbursement, policy advocacy, and stakeholder engagement. Focus on shaping the U.S. healthcare policy environment, advising business leaders, building relationships with policymakers and advocacy organizations, and integrating communications with government affairs.
Location: Hybrid schedule in Titusville, New Jersey, or Washington, D.C., United States; up to 25% travel.
Base pay: $150,000–$258,750 per year.

What you will do
- Develop and implement public affairs strategies supporting innovation, patient access, reimbursement, and portfolio sustainability.
- Partner with Neuroscience leadership to assess business priorities, access challenges, and policy risks and opportunities.
- Build relationships with advocacy organizations, policymakers, key opinion leaders, think tanks, coalitions, and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor and interpret mental health policy and regulatory developments, including reimbursement, site-of-care, innovation, and clinical research.
- Coordinate with communications, government affairs, global public affairs, patient advocacy, alliances, and strategic customer teams.
- Provide strategic counsel on policy positioning, executive visibility, media engagement, issues management, and crisis situations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Political Science, Policy, Public Relations, Government, Community Affairs, or Communications.
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in public affairs, politics, policy communications, or advocacy.
- Strong communication, writing, messaging, influencing, and executive engagement skills.
- Experience developing and executing external affairs strategies and engaging policymakers and key opinion leaders.
- Understanding of complex healthcare delivery, reimbursement systems, and payer dynamics.
- Proven experience using artificial intelligence technologies to improve personal productivity or department performance.
