What you will do

• Own a major primary structure assembly and its child subassemblies from initial build through rate production.
• Generate and maintain the manufacturing bill of materials, CONOPS, and build schedules throughout development.
• Create work instructions, specifications, and best practices for high-fidelity manufacturing processes.
• Establish work-cell stations while accounting for assembly operations, tooling, capital equipment, and production-rate targets.
• Resolve live shop-floor issues and drive process improvements and lessons learned into production.
• Provide design-for-manufacturing feedback while collaborating with design, manufacturing, reliability, production, vendor, and factory-development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical, mechanical, or another engineering discipline.
• At least 1 year of progressive, related experience.
• Working knowledge of primary vehicle structures, machining, assembly processes, and tooling.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of GD&T.
• Ability to perform trade studies using first principles and engineering fundamentals.
• Strong collaboration, communication, prioritization, and execution skills in a high-pressure environment.

Nice to have

• Experience transitioning products from prototype to mass production.
• Experience introducing aerospace hardware into manufacturing, testing, and production systems.
• Project management experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with critical lifting, tool design, welding high-temperature alloys, or full-size determinate assembly.
