Buyer II - Raw Materials and Supply Chain (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States. Regular and predictable attendance is required, with occasional business travel and the ability to work a non-standard schedule when needed. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $76,600–$86,600 per year

What you will do

• Manage and purchase assigned raw materials and commodities from internal affiliates and external suppliers.
• Review demand requirements, issue purchase orders, and maintain supply continuity.
• Monitor supplier delivery schedules, inventory levels, quotations, and market trends.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements and recommend sourcing decisions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Maintain procurement documentation and provide guidance, training, and mentoring to peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, commodity management, and supplier relationships.
• Experience analyzing quotations, inventory levels, and market trends.
• Proficiency with purchasing systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work onsite in Allentown, Pennsylvania, attend regularly, travel occasionally, and work a non-standard schedule when required.

Nice to have

• APICS, CPSM, CPM, or another relevant procurement or supply chain certification.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Experience with supplier contracts, strategic sourcing, inventory planning, or demand management.
• Leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience.
