Data Center Solutions Architect - Sales Engineer (Data Center)

Location: United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Travel of up to 5% is expected and may increase over time.

Salary: $135,000–$160,000 per year. The range is based on Colorado market data and may vary by location.

What you will do

• Design customized data center solutions covering electrical and mechanical infrastructure, power, cooling, redundancy, life-safety systems, and white-space fit-outs.
• Engage with clients to gather business needs, technical requirements, and operational challenges, then translate them into technical specifications.
• Provide technical leadership from initial concepts and design through implementation and post-deployment support.
• Evaluate technologies, products, and services and recommend solutions aligned with customer needs and industry methodologies.
• Develop and lead proof-of-concept initiatives and oversee performance, security, and reliability testing.
• Support pre-sales activities through client presentations, solution blueprints, cost estimates, proposals, and RFP responses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in customer-facing technical or sales engineering roles supporting electrical and mechanical data center solutions during pre-sales and early project phases.
• Experience with data center infrastructure, complex technical solution design and implementation, Telecom, and networking.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable and reliable technical solutions and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Ability to work in a hybrid U.S. office schedule and travel as required.
