Senior Linux Administrator (TS/SCI)

Location: Arlington, VA, United States; US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance are required. DHS Suitability must be obtainable.

What you will do

• Engineer and maintain Linux system architectures, primarily RHEL 8/9/10 and AWS Linux.
• Perform OS security hardening, patching, lifecycle maintenance, backup, recovery, and configuration documentation.
• Design standardized patching methodologies across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments.
• Integrate cloud-native services, automation, and AI capabilities to improve the threat intelligence platform and DevOps infrastructure.
• Monitor patch compliance, deployment timelines, automation results, system performance, and operational metrics.
• Reproduce database issues, troubleshoot integrated applications, and coordinate with government stakeholders, tenants, and external vendors.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance required; must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
• 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience, with RHEL 8/9/10 preferred.
• Strong Linux engineering experience and experience with PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience tuning and troubleshooting compute, network, and storage layers.
• Experience with networking concepts or AWS networking and security.
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma with 7+ years of lab management or systems administration experience.

Nice to have

• Development environment and classified environment experience.
• SELinux, multilevel security systems, or cross-domain solution experience.
• Experience coordinating with external vendors and communicating customer needs and feature requests.
• Experience with HTTP APIs and authentication using API keys and OAuth tokens.
• DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II, CompTIA Linux+, or RHCSA certification.
