Engineering Manager, EAP (Embedded Automotive Platforms)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, USA; hybrid work with in-person collaboration in the office, remote work, and hands-on work in vehicle workshops and labs

What you will do

• Lead, recruit, coach, and grow a US-based embedded-software engineering team.
• Own the team roadmap, convert milestones into objectives and delivery plans, and maintain accountability for schedule and quality.
• Stay hands-on through architecture, design, code review, and implementation of critical components.
• Build portable core libraries and SDK-style APIs for deploying autonomy software to vehicle compute platforms.
• Adapt software across Linux, QNX, NVIDIA DRIVE, Qualcomm, and other automotive environments.
• Align priorities with cross-functional stakeholders and communicate progress, risks, and technical trade-offs across teams and time zones.

Requirements

• Experience managing and developing software engineers while owning delivery from planning through quality.
• Strong embedded-systems engineering background with hands-on experience in C++, C, or Rust.
• Experience leading embedded-platform, core-library, or similar foundational software development.
• Experience in automotive or another safety- and quality-conscious industry.
• Understanding of ASPICE, MISRA, ISO 26262, or comparable disciplined development frameworks.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to align stakeholders across functions and locations.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux, QNX, build systems, AUTOSAR Adaptive, middleware or IPC, NVIDIA DRIVE, Qualcomm automotive platforms, or third-party platform delivery.
