VP, Product Engineering (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid ways of working are offered.

Base pay for U.S.-based candidates: $284,762–$480,536 per year. Expected OTE: $320,000–$540,000 per year, including bonus or commission. Equity grants may also be included.

What you will do

• Lead the Channels division through technical and product transformation across email, push, SMS/MMS/RCS, WhatsApp, LINE, in-app messages, content cards, banners, landing pages, feature flags, webhooks, and future channels.
• Set the engineering vision, goals, architecture direction, processes, and protocols for a multi-team organization.
• Grow engineering teams and capabilities through management, hiring, and development of experienced managers and engineers.
• Partner closely with product and design to develop differentiated channel products and shape the broader channel portfolio.
• Mature systems into a more modular and efficient technology platform while delivering high-quality products.
• Lead the transition toward intelligent, agentic channel products and AI-assisted software development.

Requirements

• Several years of experience managing experienced managers with a strong record of transformative success.
• Proven ability to build and lead world-class engineering teams.
• Strong technical leadership across high-level vision and detailed technology decisions.
• Deep expertise in large-scale distributed systems, architecture, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Fluency in AI-assisted engineering, including AI agents and tooling for engineering organizations.
• Excellent process leadership, communication, and writing skills.
