Quality Engineer (9 Month Contract)

Location: Porcari, Lucca, Italy; hybrid work at the Porcari site.

What you will do

• Maintain, update, and improve the Quality Manual, standard operating procedures, policies, and quality records.
• Conduct internal and product certification audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO/TS, and applicable regulations.
• Manage ATEX, PED, IECEx, and related product certifications, including renewals and certification documentation.
• Investigate system deficiencies and post-audit non-conformities, then implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Act as the main interface with the system Certificate Inspector and coordinate quality activities with engineering departments at the Lucca site and other hirify.global locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 2–3+ years of experience with quality management systems in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001 standards and quality processes.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, continuous improvement mindset, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Fluent Italian at an advanced level and professional English at C1 level.

Nice to have

• Internal Auditor experience against the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or DMAIC manufacturing philosophies.
