Enterprise Architect (Cloud & Digital Sovereignty)

What you will do

• Define and evolve enterprise cloud architecture across public, private, hybrid, multi-cloud, and sovereign cloud environments.
• Develop target-state architectures and reference patterns for compute, storage, networking, identity, integration, platforms, and cloud-native capabilities.
• Translate digital sovereignty, data residency, jurisdiction, security, and regulatory requirements into architecture principles and design choices.
• Establish cloud governance, landing zones, policy guardrails, workload placement, cost governance, and cloud security principles.
• Guide cloud migration and modernisation initiatives while defining portability, interoperability, exit, and reversibility strategies.
• Lead architecture reviews, technology risk assessments, regulatory collaboration, and executive advisory activities.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in cloud, infrastructure, or enterprise architecture, or comparable technical leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud ecosystem, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, with knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud architecture.
• Strong understanding of digital sovereignty, data residency, jurisdiction, GDPR, NIS2, and extraterritorial legislation such as the US CLOUD Act.
• Experience with cloud landing zones, multi-account or multi-subscription environments, cloud security, identity and access management, encryption, key management, secrets management, and Zero Trust.
• Understanding of BYOK, HYOK, and HSM-based key management, as well as portability, workload placement, and reversibility considerations.
• Ability to collaborate with Security, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Data Protection, infrastructure, application, and senior business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• TOGAF, ArchiMate, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, CISSP, or CCSP certification.
• ISO 27001-related expertise and knowledge of European or national cloud assurance and sovereignty frameworks.
• Experience with sovereign or trusted cloud environments, European public-sector cloud programmes, or highly regulated industries.
