TL;DR
Specialist Process Engineer (Oil & Gas): Reviewing and assuring process engineering design for a major ADNOC Offshore project with an accent on process simulations, equipment sizing, PFDs, P&IDs, and process safety documentation. Focus on resolving complex technical issues, reviewing EPC contractor deliverables, coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces, and supporting construction, commissioning, and start-up.
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role is based at the client's or contractor's office in Abu Dhabi.

What you will do
- Provide specialist technical expertise, engineering assurance, and oversight for process engineering and design activities.
- Review EPC contractor and consultant deliverables, including design bases, PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, calculations, datasheets, and equipment sizing.
- Perform or review process simulations for upstream and offshore oil and gas facilities using tools such as Aspen HYSYS and PRO-II.
- Review relief load calculations, PSV sizing, relief and blowdown philosophies, control and shutdown philosophies, and Cause & Effect requirements.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, vendor reviews, technical queries, deviations, and multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
- Provide technical support during procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and process troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Extensive process engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, including offshore EPC or PMC projects.
- Experience across FEED and detailed engineering for offshore production facilities.
- Strong knowledge of process simulations, process calculations, equipment sizing, PFDs, P&IDs, process philosophies, and process safety systems.
- Experience reviewing contractor and vendor engineering deliverables and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Previous ADNOC or ADNOC Offshore project experience is strongly preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with offshore systems including oil and gas separation, gas compression and treatment, produced water treatment, water injection, chemical injection, flare and relief systems, utilities, and offshore process packages.
