Medical Assistant (MA)

Location: Onsite at a Health Center in Modesto, California; Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Salary: $21.60–$27.00 per hour

What you will do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and injections, perform laboratory tests, operate EKGs, and use other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Support front-desk administration, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, and order medical supplies.

Requirements

• National certification in Medical Assisting from an approved organization, or a certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a completed and passed hands-on externship; fully online courses are not accepted.
• Current Basic Life Support certification with hands-on training from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
