What you will do

• Coordinate site QA/QC activities for fixed equipment, tanks, civil work, insulation, coatings, maintenance, projects, turnarounds, pipelines, and contractors.
• Implement Mechanical Integrity quality requirements, evaluate reliability risks, identify quality gaps, and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee welding fabrication and repair quality, including procedures, qualifications, materials, fit-up, execution, NDE, repairs, and final acceptance.
• Verify piping weld NDE requirements and support coating, hydrotest, materials verification, and field quality activities.
• Maintain inspection records, procedures, and quality documentation in MPC systems including IDMS, iCON, iTAR, and reliability databases.
• Coordinate damage prevention, excavation oversight, utility locating, pipeline right-of-way protection, restoration, and contractor performance issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current API-510 and API-570 certifications required.
• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification, or the ability to obtain and maintain it within 12 months of hire, required.
• At least two years of experience in refining, petrochemical, or a related industry preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to interpret procedures, specifications, drawings, work packages, permits, codes, and quality requirements.
• Ability to work on site inside and outside a refinery, including field, on-call, outage, project, extended, night, and weekend support.

Nice to have

• Additional API or industry certifications related to fixed equipment, welding, or NDE.
• Knowledge of UT, RT, MT, and PT NDE methods.
• Knowledge of one-call/811 processes, excavation monitoring, utility locating, pipeline right-of-way protection, and third-party contractor oversight.
