Rotating Equipment Maintenance Specialist (Industrial Gases)

Location: IA, United States of America. Remote work with 50% travel to field locations, vendor refurbishment sites, machine shops, and equipment overhaul locations.

What you will do

• Lead and support maintenance, troubleshooting, overhauls, and repairs for large rotating equipment, including compressors, turbines, pumps, and fans.
• Improve equipment reliability, availability, maintenance strategies, and overhaul cost efficiency with operations, engineering teams, vendors, and OEMs.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, job plans, overhaul strategies, inspection programs, troubleshooting guidelines, and CMMS records.
• Review preventive and predictive maintenance data, including vibration, oil, temperature, and mechanical inspection results.
• Participate in risk assessments, Root Cause Analyses, PSSRs, FMEA-based strategy updates, and annual maintenance planning and budgeting.
• Support critical spare-parts management, equipment refurbishment, rotor and wheel balancing, and technical troubleshooting for field locations.

Requirements

• Willingness to travel 50% of the time and work remotely.
• 10+ years of technical experience in rotating equipment operations, troubleshooting, and design.
• Detailed knowledge of compressors, turbines, pumps, and fans used in air separation, CO2, and H2 manufacturing processes.
• Detailed knowledge of oxygen compression equipment and oxygen cleanliness.
• Expertise in lubrication and proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and project planning software.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
