Head of Site Development and Support Services (Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Lead strategic site master planning, risk management, utility planning, and infrastructure investment governance.
• Own governance, portfolio management, value realization, and executive reporting for the Visp Innovation Program.
• Drive the program target of CHF 300 million in savings by 2030 and address risks and issues through senior governance forums.
• Ensure high-quality, compliant support services across Shared Infrastructure, including GMP hygiene and cleaning activities.
• Manage an OPEX budget of CHF 20–30 million and a CAPEX portfolio of CHF 60–80 million.
• Lead more than 100 employees and multiple outsourced service partners while influencing executive-level decisions.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in strategic site development, infrastructure planning, and large-scale transformation in complex multinational environments.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives and delivering measurable improvements in cost optimization, operational excellence, and site competitiveness.
• Expertise in portfolio and program management, with experience managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets at scale; PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, governance, and performance management.
• Experience engaging executive committees and senior stakeholders in a global matrix organization.
• Ability to lead large, diverse teams and external partners while driving change, collaboration, compliance, and customer-focused service delivery.
