Performance QE Engineer (Distributed Storage)

What you will do

• Build and maintain automated benchmarking infrastructure for S3 object storage, POSIX file systems, and block-level protocols.
• Write Ansible playbooks and roles for cluster setup, health checks, installation, and configuration.
• Contribute to Celery-based task orchestration for running I/O workloads in parallel.
• Execute and troubleshoot FIO, IOR, mdtest, IO500, and WARP storage benchmarks.
• Develop Python scripts for parsing results, generating manifests, and normalizing metrics.
• Maintain PostgreSQL result schemas, Grafana dashboards, reporting integrations, and benchmark profiles.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of Python experience, including scripting and basic asynchronous or task-queue concepts.
• Working knowledge of Ansible, including writing or modifying playbooks and roles.
• Basic SQL skills with PostgreSQL.
• Linux fundamentals covering filesystems, networking, and processes.
• Knowledge of storage concepts across block, file, and object storage.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or similar.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redis, RabbitMQ, or another message queue.
• Grafana or other dashboarding experience.
• Basic Node.js knowledge.
• Internship or project experience in performance testing or storage systems.
• Familiarity with Prometheus and monitoring or metrics tools.
