Software Engineer, AI Systems

What you will do

• Build and operate LLM-backed APIs, production agents, retrieval systems, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Develop evaluations for agent and RAG workflows and use results to improve quality and reliability.
• Build ingestion pipelines and high-throughput file and data paths connecting customer environments, cloud object storage, and compute clusters.
• Partner with Product and Design to turn broad goals into clear problems, practical specifications, and incremental releases.
• Own technical design and delivery for meaningful platform areas, identify improvements, ship frequently, and follow through after launch.
• Work across backend services in Python, Java, and Go, cloud infrastructure, containers, Kubernetes, and occasional React and TypeScript UI changes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience building and operating backend services and distributed systems in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Production experience with agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluation workflows.
• Strong experience with at least one of Python, Java, or Go, plus comfort working across services and APIs.
• Experience with object storage, relational databases, caches, and queues or streams.
• Ability to use AI coding agents responsibly, verify their output, and apply emerging AI engineering practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with the ability to make architectural decisions and own post-launch performance.
