Advanced AI Engineer

Location: Illinois, United States; hybrid or remote

Salary: $103,000–$155,000 per year, plus annual performance bonus, long-term incentives, benefits, paid time off, parental leave, and equity program.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, secure AI and machine learning platforms with standardized GenAI workflows.
• Build CI/CD pipelines for models and data workflows using containers, infrastructure as code, and orchestration technologies.
• Develop automated model training, deployment, and lifecycle management processes.
• Deploy, monitor, tune, and troubleshoot production machine learning models.
• Define health, performance, reliability, and cost metrics for AI systems.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, security teams, and data engineers while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in ML/AI or big data environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#.
• Production experience with Docker and cloud-based solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi and workflow orchestration platforms such as Prefect or Airflow.
• Understanding of Kubernetes and Helm, plus experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting production machine learning models.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience with MLflow, Kubeflow, model optimization, Spark, EMR, Kafka, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with secure and compliant data processing environments.
