Senior Software Engineer - Pricing (iGaming)

What you will do

• Develop production-grade technical solutions for complex business requirements using appropriate design patterns.
• Build robust APIs and streaming interfaces for statistical models and data products.
• Optimise and deploy low-latency microservices supporting sportsbook pricing and odds.
• Promote software engineering best practices for testing, observability, CI/CD, and automation.
• Review peer solutions and code, and collaborate with managers to plan workstreams.
• Share technical work through collaboration, written reports, and presentations.

Requirements

• Minimum five years of commercial software engineering experience implementing complex requirements in low-latency microservice architectures.
• Excellent Java skills or experience with similar languages such as C#, including independent development of performant, well-documented code.
• Experience working with different architectures and systems to solve new technical challenges.
• Ability to write or interpret technical gap and architecture documents and turn them into deliverable work items.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics to non-specialists.
• Ability to learn new tools and concepts quickly and mentor more junior colleagues.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or higher in a STEM subject.
• Experience with incident management, performance testing, and automation testing.
• Experience deploying software in cloud-native environments.
• Experience with sporting data or knowledge and interest in sports betting.
