What you will do

• Manage branch operations, profitability, sales, business development, customer service, and digital engagement.
• Lead, coach, develop, evaluate, and staff the branch team.
• Identify retail and business banking needs and build long-term customer relationships.
• Prospect for business banking relationships through community outreach and outside calling.
• Process business banking loan requests up to $250,000 and resolve complex servicing and account issues.
• Maintain operational controls, compliance standards, audit actions, fraud prevention, and customer asset protection.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of management experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of business banking products, services, and client relationship management.
• Ability to use common PC and Microsoft Office software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
• M&T Way Certification and Precision Leadership Certification.
• Insurance licensing and M&T Business Banking Specialist qualification must be obtained within 18 months of hire; training is provided for insurance licensing.

Nice to have

• Spanish bilingual ability.
• Successful sales or business development experience and understanding of profitability.
• Strong financial services product knowledge and customer service coaching ability.
• Experience with internet and email.
