What you will do

• Contribute to spacecraft system architecture and coordinate design and development activities related to system performance.
• Model satellite imaging geometry and analyse geometric performance.
• Engineer pointing performance, including microvibration and thermo-elastic deformation aspects.
• Implement performance calibration and develop supporting software tools.
• Plan and evaluate performance tests at satellite, platform, and unit levels.
• Develop data-processing and simulation algorithms and maintain the satellite characterization and calibration database.

Requirements

• University degree in physics, aerospace engineering, remote sensing, or a related field.
• Programming experience with MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
• Experience with satellite design, control-system or multibody-system simulation, Earth-observation mission performance, or end-to-end data simulation is advantageous.
• Self-managed, solution-oriented, proactive working style and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Working-level proficiency in written and spoken English and German.
