Junior System Architect (Rail Infrastructure)

Location: Gilching, Germany; hybrid work with commissioning and customer-site assignments across Germany and the DACH region

What you will do

• Develop and parameterize applications for secondary engineering components and systems.
• Integrate external control centers, installations, and devices into integration environments.
• Perform functional tests, factory acceptance tests, technical coordination, and commissioning at customer sites.
• Provide technical customer support and contribute to concepts and requirements for substation control systems.
• Improve testing and commissioning standards, processes, and regulations.
• Create technical documentation and collaborate with project management, systems engineering, and specialist departments.

Requirements

• Completed technician training or degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
• Experience with parameterization and engineering tools for control and automation components, such as Relion or SIPROTEC.
• Willingness to learn PCM600 and MicroSCADA.
• Understanding of primary engineering, power system protection, and transmission technology interfaces.
• Independent, structured, solution-oriented working style with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent German is required; occasional business travel within Germany and the DACH region is expected.

Nice to have

• Experience with OMICRON test equipment, Fink protocol simulation, and diagnostic tools.
• Good English skills.
