- Define load cases, including thermal and quasi-static loads, and assess structural failure scenarios and design risks.
- Collaborate with design engineers to trade concepts, size components, optimize design iterations, and address manufacturing non-conformities.
- Develop test plans, support physical component testing, and verify sizing assumptions and hardware qualification.
- Prepare stress analysis reports and improve structural verification standards, workflows, and toolchains.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and review analysis results.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, aerospace, mechanical or computational mechanics, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience analyzing aerospace structures.
- Strong knowledge of classical hand calculations and advanced finite element modeling, including HyperMesh and OptiStruct.
- Experience with structural failure mechanisms, load paths, design risk assessment, and aerospace design standards.
- Experience using CAD software and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Fluent English required.
Nice to have
- Space-sector experience, preferably in a launch vehicle development program.
- Siemens NX or other CAD experience.
- Knowledge of composite behavior across a wide temperature range and composite manufacturing techniques.
