Director Product & Engineering Operations (Automotive)

What you will do

• Build, lead, and develop the Product & Engineering Operations team.
• Define the strategy, roadmap, operating model, processes, and governance mechanisms for operational excellence across Product, Development, Program Management, and Validation.
• Lead strategic initiatives involving planning systems, reporting systems, ALM tools, workflow automation, and AI-enabled productivity.
• Establish KPI frameworks, monitoring systems, executive dashboards, and operational review cadences.
• Use operational data to identify systemic bottlenecks, prioritize improvements, and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Drive senior-stakeholder alignment, organizational change, adoption of new ways of working, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Program Management, Engineering Operations, Product Operations, Development Leadership, or related functions, including substantial leadership responsibility.
• Hands-on experience in Product Management or Software Development.
• Experience building and leading teams and owning a function or significant cross-organizational portfolio.
• Experience defining and executing company-wide operational strategies, process transformations, or systems initiatives with measurable results.
• Experience working with ASPICE, ISO 15288, ISO 26262, or comparable development frameworks, and translating requirements into scalable ways of working.
• Strong systems, tooling, analytical, stakeholder-management, and executive communication skills, including experience with KPI frameworks, dashboards, monitoring systems, and executive reviews.
