Manufacturing & Technology Engineer

Location: Birmingham, UK, with frequent travel to Coventry and occasional domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Support the deployment and adoption of advanced manufacturing, robotics, automation, digital technologies, and AI.
• Coordinate technology opportunities and projects from discovery through launch, delivery, and benefits tracking.
• Build and manage relationships with research organisations, universities, and specialist technology providers.
• Support continuous improvement, enterprise excellence activities, site assessments, problem solving, and best-practice sharing.
• Review manufacturing machinery and equipment against health and safety standards, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Represent the organisation at technical meetings and external forums while collaborating across divisions, functions, and regions.

Requirements

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technology environment.
• Understanding of manufacturing technologies, automation, and robotics.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement principles and operational excellence methodologies.
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or technology-related projects and working with multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Nice to have

• Completion of a structured graduate development programme in a manufacturing, engineering, or technology organisation.
• Interest in advanced manufacturing, testing, simulation, digital technologies, and AI.
