Intermediate Network Administrator

Location: Wyoming, Michigan, United States; Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a remote exception. On-call participation is generally up to one shift per week.

What you will do

• Assist with WAN and LAN architecture, design, configuration, and hardware deployment.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for network, hardware, and connectivity issues.
• Configure, rack, and install Cisco switches, routers, wireless access points, and controllers.
• Maintain wireless and RF infrastructure, including Cisco WLC and Catalyst environments, surveys, and diagnostic testing.
• Monitor network health, manage firmware updates, and maintain hardware standards and operational procedures.
• Coordinate cabling contractors and external partners during installations, maintenance windows, and site cutovers; update diagrams and asset records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• One to three years of network administration or network support experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience with WAN and LAN activities, RF maintenance and support, and network monitoring applications.
• Familiarity with Cisco switches and routers is required.
• Familiarity with firewalls and strong problem-solving, communication, organization, collaboration, and time-management skills.
• Ability to support physical network installations at corporate facilities and participate in the on-call rotation.
