Operations Manager (M&E)

What you will do

• Oversee day-to-day operations across M&E projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Develop operational strategies and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and profitability.
• Lead and mentor Project Managers, Engineers, and support staff.
• Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, including high-level meetings and negotiations.
• Oversee health and safety, quality compliance, audits, and corrective actions.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, project financial performance, and opportunities for cost savings.

Requirements

• Senior operations leadership experience in the M&E or building services sector.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, project delivery, and construction processes.
• Leadership, communication, negotiation, and commercial management skills, including budget and P&L responsibility.
• Familiarity with UK building regulations, CDM, health and safety standards, and industry codes.
• Degree or equivalent in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of M&E project delivery experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.

• CSCS Managers Card, SMSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH certification.
