Platform and Integration Engineer (AI)

Location: Mostly remote within Germany, with monthly in-person collaboration at the Berlin office and occasional travel to customer sites within Germany. Primary residence in Germany and an existing legal right to work in Germany are required.

Salary: EUR 53,000–59,000 per year at 32 hours per week.

RedMimicry is building an AI-powered security-analysis capability that transforms fragmented security logs into explainable threat analysis within its platform.

What you will do

• Design and implement ingestion paths for SIEM, EDR, NDR, operating-system, and other security telemetry.
• Normalise timestamps and expose host, user, process, and network identities while preserving source provenance.
• Containerise services and implement deployment automation, monitoring, logging, health checks, and reproducible test environments.
• Develop installation, upgrade, validation, backup, restore, and diagnostic workflows for cloud, on-premises, air-gapped, and restricted environments.
• Prepare, install, troubleshoot, and validate customer environments, including travel to customer sites when required.
• Maintain deployment guides, operational runbooks, and documentation of known limitations.

Requirements

• Strong systems judgement and the ability to debug across application, operating-system, network, and infrastructure boundaries.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills, plus Docker or comparable container tooling.
• Experience with CI/CD, configuration management, deployment automation, observability, networking, TLS, proxies, routing, DNS, firewalls, secure configuration, and least-privilege operation.
• Experience integrating heterogeneous third-party systems and APIs, handling files, streams, schemas, encodings, timestamps, and version drift.
• Go, Python, shell scripting, test fixtures, integration testing, and compatibility testing experience.
• English is required; professional working proficiency in German is strongly preferred for customer work. A clean criminal record certificate, willingness to travel to the Berlin office approximately once per month, and willingness to visit German customer sites are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Splunk, Elastic, Microsoft Sentinel, or comparable security platforms.
• Production cloud services, multi-tenant architectures, on-premises packaging, enterprise installation workflows, air-gapped environments, or GPU infrastructure.
• Experience with hardening, audit logging, data residency, or BSI IT-Grundschutz.
