Junior Data Engineer (Databricks)

What you will do

• Build and maintain data pipelines with Databricks, SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Support migration of legacy data processes and solutions to modern cloud platforms.
• Transform, validate, and reconcile data from multiple business systems.
• Contribute to Lakehouse solutions using Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers.
• Support data quality, reliability, troubleshooting, and existing pipeline integrations.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, analysts, and customer teams in Agile development processes.

Requirements

• Good understanding of SQL and basic experience with Python.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data integration, data warehousing, and data modeling concepts.
• Exposure to Databricks, Apache Spark, or PySpark.
• Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Willingness to collaborate, learn engineering best practices, and develop technical expertise.

Nice to have

• Experience in data engineering, software development, analytics, or a related area.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services, Lakehouse architecture, or Delta Lake.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD practices, Power BI, or reporting solutions.
• Knowledge of banking, finance, or other regulated industries.
• Azure or Databricks certifications.
