Fullstack Engineer I, Dmarts – Quick Commerce

Location: Berlin, Germany; hybrid work with attendance at the Berlin campus 2 days a week

What you will do

• Develop full-stack applications across Golang and Python backend services and React interfaces.
• Build features for purchase orders, store transfers, cross-dock operations, returns, distribution centers, inventory visibility, and WMS integrations.
• Build and consume REST APIs and event-driven integrations, including Kafka-based workflows.
• Contribute across implementation, automated testing, deployment, observability, and production support.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and operational stakeholders to deliver reliable software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions while improving distributed systems and cloud engineering practices.

Requirements

• Initial professional software development experience through junior roles, internships, working student positions, or relevant projects.
• Solid foundations in software design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with at least one backend language, especially Golang or Python, and interest in developing across both.
• Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript and React or a comparable frontend framework.
• Understanding of REST APIs, relational databases and SQL, Git, and automated testing.
• Collaborative and proactive approach, willingness to learn, take ownership, and use AI-assisted tooling responsibly.

Nice to have

• Exposure to distributed or event-driven systems and message queues such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Awareness of CI/CD pipelines and production observability.
