TL;DR

Staff Engineer (AdTech): Shaping and evolving an AdTech platform for an e-pharmacy with an accent on scalable architecture, Node.js/TypeScript microservices, and high-performance frontend applications. Focus on designing robust technical solutions for the Retail Media ecosystem and optimizing real-time data systems.

Location: Berlin, Germany (Remote possible)

What you will do

Drive technical strategy for Retail Media Ad Solutions focusing on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Design and lead development of Node.js/TypeScript microservices with a clean and modular architecture.
Develop high-performance frontend applications using React, Next.js, and Material-UI.
Optimize real-time data systems integrating with MongoDB, Redis, and Algolia.
Implement reliable message queueing across distributed services using BullMQ and RabbitMQ.
Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to align technical efforts with strategic priorities.

Requirements

Professional software development experience with 2+ years in a Lead or Principal Engineer role.
Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, and cloud-native system design.
At least 3 years of experience in AdTech, preferably in Retail Media (sponsored ads, targeting, and attribution models).
Proven experience building scalable microservices and frontend applications in fast-paced environments.
Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor teams within Agile/Scrum frameworks.
