Junior Data QA Engineer

What you will do

• Execute data validation, regression, and source-to-target tests using established templates and standards.
• Write and run SQL queries to verify row counts, reconciliations, transformations, and data quality rules.
• Document test results and defects in Azure DevOps, provide evidence, and retest fixes.
• Prepare test data, check environment readiness, and run assigned automated regression checks.
• Participate in backlog refinement and daily scrum activities while clarifying scope and expected results.
• Complete onboarding and certification training in SQL, Python, and Databricks, using AI-assisted tools under guidance.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in QA testing, data analysis, or a related technical role; strong SQL skills are also suitable for fresh graduates.
• Working knowledge of SQL joins, aggregation, filtering, and basic reconciliation queries.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow test procedures precisely.
• Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in an agile team.
• Willingness to learn Python, data warehouse concepts, and Databricks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Python, ETL/ELT concepts, data warehouses, or Azure DevOps.
• ISTQB Foundation certification.
• Internship or project experience in banking or financial services.
