Chapter Lead - Data Integration and Exchange (Data Engineering)

What you will do

• Lead a chapter of initially 10–12 data engineers and manage engineering leads hierarchically, including recruitment.
• Provide technical leadership for cloud-native data platforms, data warehousing, lakehouse architectures, and large-scale data engineering.
• Drive the onboarding and integration of source systems into the Finance and Risk integrated data architecture.
• Ensure consistent data contracts, data quality, lineage, governance, testing, deployment, and operational support.
• Promote reusable ingestion patterns, canonical data models, and engineering frameworks.
• Contribute to area vision, resource planning, innovation, continuous improvement, and IT risk management.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience as a data engineer.
• Strong people leadership combined with deep technical expertise in cloud-native data platforms, data warehousing, lakehouse architecture, and large-scale data engineering.
• Experience managing application software at scale and translating business requirements into software solutions.
• Understanding of data integration challenges where different applications model the same domain in different ways.
• Experience coaching engineers in engineering craftsmanship and communicating effectively with architects and stakeholders.
• Experience in financial services, particularly accounting, regulatory reporting, or financial risk, is valuable.
