AI Data Governance Implementation Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Help clients embed Data and AI Governance into daily business practices and prioritize initiatives based on value, risk and stakeholder support.
• Identify governance gaps, business pain points and key stakeholders across Business, Data, AI and IT functions.
• Define ownership and accountability for Data Owners, Data Stewards, Data Custodians and governance forums.
• Facilitate workshops and translate ambiguous governance challenges into practical implementation roadmaps.
• Embed data quality, metadata, lineage, access, privacy, security and responsible AI practices into operating models.
• Create reusable governance templates, playbooks and accelerators for projects and clients.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Analytics, Business Analysis or a related field.
• Experience starting a data or governance initiative from scratch and securing sponsorship and stakeholder buy-in.
• Strong understanding of data ownership, stewardship, data quality, metadata, lineage and governance processes.
• Understanding of how data quality, governance, privacy and security affect AI solutions and their trustworthiness.
• Awareness of AI/ML concepts and lifecycle considerations; hands-on AI development is not required.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to work with senior business, Data, AI and IT stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK, CDMP, Collibra, Informatica, Alation or Microsoft Purview.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI and AI Governance principles, including transparency, accountability, privacy, security and human oversight.
• Exposure to Azure, Databricks or similar enterprise data and AI platforms.
• Consulting experience and familiarity with international or multi-entity organisations.
• Basic SQL, BI or data-platform knowledge and awareness of GDPR or other data-protection principles.
