Workday Functional Specialist - Finance

What you will do

• Own day-to-day functional support and troubleshooting for Workday Financials, coordinating with Finance SMEs, Technology, IT, and the AMS provider.
• Manage functional configuration, testing, documentation, data integrity, access controls, and audit-ready Finance processes.
• Coordinate Finance impact assessments, prioritisation, regression testing, and deployment for bi-annual Workday releases.
• Translate Finance requirements into pragmatic Workday solutions and manage enhancement backlog items through prioritisation and delivery.
• Coordinate Finance reports, dashboards, and operational management information for support, governance, and Finance leadership.
• Manage Finance scope with the Workday AMS partner, including break/fix support, delivery capacity, quality, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Senior experience with Workday Financials in a Technology, Finance Systems, or Change environment within a large or complex organisation.
• Experience operating or establishing a Workday support model covering BAU controls, triage, and release cycles.
• Ability to interpret Finance requirements and translate them into Workday solutions with technology and architecture stakeholders.
• Experience with integrated systems outside Workday, including Finance ecosystems, upstream and downstream feeds, and third parties.
• Strong reporting and management information skills, including consolidating complex information and preparing decision-support materials.
• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills across Technology, Finance, HR, senior business audiences, and external partners.
