Field Service Engineer 2 (Semiconductor)

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan; customer-site field service work

hirify.global develops and services semiconductor manufacturing systems, with Customer Support branches responsible for installations, qualification, repair, maintenance, and customer knowledge transfer.

What you will do

• Analyze equipment problems, collect diagnostic information, determine an initial approach, and execute corrective actions.
• Perform independent repairs and standard service actions using tools, replacement parts, and equipment settings.
• Prepare parts, tools, equipment, and technical information for scheduled customer machine procedures.
• Document and hand over problems through work orders, service reports, system problem reports, and technical reports.
• Train customers in equipment use and routine maintenance, explain corrective actions, and recommend procedure improvements.
• Identify process improvements, share best practices, and support less experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Experience as a field service engineer in a technical industry.
• BSc degree in a relevant technical field such as electrical technology, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of semiconductor equipment is preferred.
• Experience with computer applications, data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Complete knowledge of the functionality of primary product modules and sub-modules.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under applicable United States Export Administration Regulations before starting work.
