Senior Hardware Design Engineer (Ethernet)

Location: Petah-Tikva, Israel; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned Intel site and off-site work

The role is described within Intel's Central Engineering Group, which develops Ethernet products for cloud infrastructure, telecommunications data centers, and connected computing systems.

What you will do

• Lead hardware design for Ethernet Infrastructure Processing Unit and Foundation NIC product lines.
• Develop analog and digital circuit boards from schematics through layout, silicon power-on, hardware enablement, and debug.
• Lead developers and collaborate with design, system, pre-silicon, post-silicon, board design, and test-module teams.
• Evaluate and qualify new hardware solutions, manage part and component selection, and drive innovation initiatives.
• Resolve hardware, schematic, layout, and DFx issues through technical reviews, debugging, and task-force leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering and more than 10 years of relevant experience.
• Mandatory semiconductor ASIC development design experience and proven experience building planning and design flows.
• Experience with PCB technology and analog/digital layout, including stack-up, placement, routing, and advanced SI/PI considerations.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, transmission-line theory, analog circuits, high-speed signal processing, RF circuits, and electromagnetic-wave propagation.
• FPGA and Verilog coding skills, plus programming experience in C++, Python, or MATLAB and experience with AI-based tools.
• Strong English communication skills are required for interaction with engineering, production, customer, marketing, and program-management stakeholders.
