AWS Application Production Support Engineer

Location: Onsite in Knoxville, TN; Columbia, SC; Lafayette, LA; or Birmingham, AL

What you will do

• Monitor AWS-hosted applications and respond to production alerts and incidents.
• Perform incident triage and investigate application, database, AWS service, and scheduled-job failures using consoles, logs, monitoring tools, and documentation.
• Support Amazon RDS and Amazon Redshift, AutoSys jobs, and existing CI/CD pipelines.
• Identify root causes, restore services using approved procedures, and escalate complex incidents with complete diagnostic findings.
• Create and manage incidents and service requests in ServiceNow while maintaining support documentation.
• Identify opportunities for operational automation and coordinate with application, infrastructure, AWS, database, and business support teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of application or production support experience in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on AWS production support experience, including AWS console navigation and cloud log analysis.
• Experience with Amazon RDS, Amazon Redshift, AutoSys or a comparable scheduling platform, and existing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable incident and ticket management platform.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and cross-team coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a time-sensitive 24x7 production environment and hold a bachelor's degree in a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Python scripting or automation experience.
• AWS Associate-level certification.
• Experience supporting enterprise HR, finance, or other back-office applications.
