Master Student AI Powered Compliance Assistant (d/f/m) (AI)

Location: Onsite at the Airbus site in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Start date: 01.08.2026. Duration: 6 months.

What you will do

• Build and test a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system for automating regulatory compliance.
• Develop a smart assistant that reads regulations such as the EU AI Act, aviation safety rules, and cybersecurity standards.
• Enable the assistant to understand product information and generate Compliance Management Plans with traceability and citations.
• Work hands-on with modern AI tools, cloud platforms, and real compliance data.
• Turn the thesis work into a functioning prototype for safe and certified technology.

Requirements

• Enrolled full-time in a Master's programme in Computer Science, artificial intelligence, or an equivalent field.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Interest or experience in AI, NLP, or machine learning.
• Basic understanding of web APIs, C++, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and data pipelines.
• Experience with command-line tools, Git, Docker, and Linux.
• Ability to read and understand technical or legal English texts. Independent working style and a problem-solving mindset are expected.
